Following the Department of Education’s advice to schools, to end in person teaching early, we have taken the decision to make Friday 18th December a Teacher training day. We will close on Thursday 17th December 2020 and reopen Tuesday 5th January 2021. As Friday 18th December is now a designated Training Day, the scheduled summer training day of Friday 25 June 2021 is cancelled and will be a normal school day, to ensure pupils and students receive the designated teaching allocation.

Please remember that your child can access the Collingwood Connect website where we have a variety of learning activities and fun tasks to complete.

The following is some guidance provided by the Department of Education about who to contact should your child contract COVID over the Christmas period.

• If your child develops symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) prior to Saturday 19th December please arrange for your child to be tested and if the test result is positive please email us. 

• From Sunday 20th December until the start of term, if your child develops symptoms and subsequently tests positive you should follow the contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace

Next week, there will be a range of Christmas activities for the pupils, including the winter wonderland experience and Christmas Tutor all day on Thursday. We will also be hosting our Christmas Fair throughout the week and if you wish to attend please contact the school to arrange a time slot due to COVID restrictions.
